Windows

The autoclaves and testing cells can be equipped with windows. Cormet provides sapphire windows for the high-temperature high-pressure environment. A window can be installed through the pressure wall or the bottom.

Metallic windows are used for X-ray, proton and neutron beams. These windows are not optical windows but metallic windows. Their thickness is a trade-off between the structural integrity and the penetration length of the beam.
